Data with Purpose

Data analysis in service of people and community

I’m Titus Scott, a Detroit-based data analyst focused on transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that support communities and mission-driven organizations.

What I Do

Analyze

Clean, validate, and explore data using SQL, Python, R, and other tools to uncover meaningful patterns.

Visualize

Design clear dashboards and reports in Power BI and Tableau for non-technical audiences.

Translate

Turn findings into insights that inform decisions, strategy, and learning.

Collaborate

Work cross-functionally to define questions and deliver useable data.

Featured Projects

Detroit K-12 Education Data Landscape Scan

Read a blog focused on a landscape scan I conducted during my Data Fellowship at The Skillman Foundation, detailing my design, process, analysis, and reporting.

Michigan School District Analysis

View a dashboard that I created which visualizes district level federal funding, demographic, and other enrollment data. Sort by district, locality (city, rural, suburb, & town), and district type (ISD, LEA, & PSA)

Why Data with Purpose?

Data is never neutral. My work is guided by the belief that analysis should be rigorous, transparent, and grounded in context, supporting people, communities, and the decisions that affect them.
I bring experience across education, nonprofit leadership, and philanthropy, allowing me to approach data with both technical skill and human understanding.
